On September 26, one candidate made the necessary first for their campaign by getting on the ballot for the upcoming election in Florida, but they aren’t a Republican or Democrat- she is a Libertarian.
Alison Foxall, Libertarian candidate for Florida State House district 72 posted the announcement on her Facebook page:
We did it!
Thank you to the dozens of volunteers that helped to collect these signatures and the 400 voters of Florida House District 72 that signed the petition to place me on the ballot.
I am incredibly grateful for your support and will do my best to make you proud on the campaign trail. I look forward to earning your vote on February 13, 2018.Thank you!
With the rise in third party interest from 2016 way up, these state and local elections might see the most gains for Libertarian Party candidates.
