January 5, 2018- Kentucky Senator and former 2016 presidential candidate for the Republican nomination Rand Paul has endorsed Virginia Delegate Nick Freitas for the Republican nomination for US Senate in the upcoming 2018 election.
Freitas posted this image to his official Facebook page this afternoon.
The libertarian Republican is seen as the inheritor of his father Ron Paul’s legacy as leader of the Liberty Movement in Washington D.C. His endorsement comes as ballot access petitions for the 2018 cycle begin to circulate in what is becoming a intensely watched election throughout the country.
Current Republicans running are Corey Stewart, E.W. Jackson, and Delegate Freitas with the possible additions of former Ambassador John Moore and former Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore. The current sitting Senator from Virginia is Tim Kaine.
This is a breaking story, more to follow.
